The inspiration

This new TRANSATLANTIQUE II GMT collection is an invitation to travel back in time. Back to a revolutionary era when everything was possible. The first supersonic flights, the first computers and many other achievement that marked these years. A modern tool with an inspiration from the past.

The dial

The “sandwich” type construction dial.

The lower plate receives a generous amount of Swiss Super-LumiNova® photoluminescent material in Grade X1 and green emission to ensure optimal readability.

The top plate is gradient brown and machined to create the twelve indexes.

The PLEXIGLAS® bezel

The Au750 Massive Gold bezel receives a PLEXIGLAS® insert.

The 24-hour numbers and indexes have been fine-tuned to provide more volume and better reading. They are machined from the mass then filled with Swiss Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 green photoluminescent material.

These luminous numbers are therefore in relief in the PLEXIGLAS®.

The two caramel and chocolate brown zones symbolize the hours of day and night.

PLEXIGLAS® has been part of the composition of LAVENTURE watches for several years now.

“It’s lighter, there is less reflection, these reflections are more aesthetic, it is more resistant to strong impacts and unlike sapphire crystal, it does not break into a thousand sharp flakes, it is made in Switzerland , the Superdome is genuinely “Vintage” and acquires a patina over time. Scratches are very easily re-polished, something you can do yourself. »

COSC

Officially Certified “CHRONOMETER”

To reach this certification delivered by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), each LAVENTURE® Caliber 3 movement is tested for 15 days, in 5 positions and at three different temperatures: 8°C, 23°C and 38°C. The COSC comes to monitor the proper functioning of the movement on a daily basis. Based on the measurements, 7 eliminatory criteria are calculated. If and only if the 7 criteria are met, the movement receives its certification. The « Chronometer » certification is an official precision standard guaranteeing an operating rate of -4/+6 seconds per day. As a reminder, the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute is an independent institute responsible for certifying the accuracy and precision of Swiss watches.

The engraving

The solid caseback returns to strengthen this “tool-watch” spirit.

The TRANSATLANTIQUE II GMT Steel & Gold / Brown is limited to 50 pieces. The 316L Stainless Steel caseback receives a Au750 Solid Gold medallion on which the illustration of the collection and the official hallmarks are engraved.

Each hallmark has its meaning.
The “Balance” for the material, Au750 Massive Gold.
The “Saint-Bernard” for the provenance of Switzerland.
The “Master’s mark” for the creator LAVENTURE®.

The serial number /50 and technical information are engraved on the 316L Stainless Steel part.

The watch box

Inspired by the works of Jules Verne: Les Voyages Extraordinaires from Éditions Hetzel, the watch box is, beyond a simple box, a beautiful object that we display.

The watch box has been completely redesigned. The exterior is reworked to provide more details and let the illustration fully express itself. The dark green suede-like interior has several compartments to store: bracelets, tools, accessories and other surprises. A real toolbox!
